in Health Systems Management in January 2017

The College of Health Systems Management offers two major international programs for semester 2 of the Academic Year of 2016.

If you are planning to apply to join our M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Health Systems Management class starting in January 2017, you are strongly encouraged to apply by Wednesday 30 November 2016. Submitting by this date will ensure you have the best chance of being offered one of the last few places on the program and that you have sufficient time to prepare to join the class.

1. Master of Science in Health Systems Management (International Program)

M.Sc. is designed to provide students with the skills and knowledge that are needed to understand the complexities of health systems. It is also aimed to enable students to develop into knowledgeable researchers, policy makers of managers and leaders in the health care sector.

Educational Management Plan

Plan A, Type A 1 : graduation with Master degree, study less than 36 credits with Thesis courses. Maximum 10 persons accepted (Study on Monday through Friday).

Entry Requirements

General Qualifications
1) Students are required to have a Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, or Technological Sciences, or Health Sciences, or Social Sciences, etc. from institutes approved by the Office of the Higher Education Commission, Ministry of Education.
2) No record of court-ordered imprisonment except for a wrongdoing by recklessness or a misdemeanor.
3) No record of dismissal on the grounds of misbehavior from any educational institutes.
4) Healthy, with no diseases or conditions that may interfere with their educational obligations.
5) Other qualifications as specified by the Graduate School, Naresuan University.
6) If there is any inconsistent conditions stated in No. 1-5, it would be the authority of the Curriculum Committee to provide the consideration.

Specific Qualifications
1) Students are required to be graduated in a Bachelor’s degree or an equal level of education in Technological Sciences or Health Sciences, or Social Sciences, etc. from academic institutions in Thailand or in other countries approved by the Ministry of Education with GP A higher than 2.5.
2) Students who graduated from other fields of study apart from those stated in No.1 are required to be experienced in working or researching in the field of Health Sciences or Social Sciences regarding health or health systems for more than 1 year; or have at least a published article in academic journals a specified in the Naresuan University Regulations in the previous 5 years prior to the day of enrollment.
3) Students who do not meet the requirements of No.1 and No.2 may be considered for an approval by the Curriculum Committee of Health Systems Management.
4) Students are required to write a concept paper in relation to their interested research project (no more than 5 pages of A4 paper)
5) Other qualifications as specified in the Naresuan University Regulations for Graduate 2011; Title 5 Student Requirement

Tuition Fee
The price paid throughout the course is 300,000 Baht/Student (for Thai students) and 360,000 Baht/Student (for International students).

Payment by installments divided into 4 semesters within 2 years as below;

1) For Thai students

1st Year 1st Semester 75,000 Baht;
1st Year 2nd Semester 75,000 Baht;
2nd Year 1st Semester 75,000 Baht; and
2nd Year 2nd Semester 75,000 Baht.

In case that the student is unable to complete the program within the period prescribed and need to re-enroll, the student has to pay 75,000 Baht per semester.

2) For International students

1st Year 1st Semester 90,000 Baht;
1st Year 2nd Semester 90,000 Baht;
2nd Year 1st Semester 90,000 Baht; and
2nd Year 2nd Semester 90,000 Baht.

In case that the student is unable to complete the program within the period prescribed and need to re-enroll, the student has to pay 90,000 Baht per semester.

2. Doctor of Philosophy in Health Systems Management (International Program)

This research-based program is designed to train researcher and academic leaders in the expanding field of health systems management. The PhD prepares students to become independent investigators in academic and non–academic research institutions, and emphasizes contributions to theory and basic science.

Educational Management Plan

Plan 1.1 : graduation with PhD degree, study less than 48 credits with Thesis courses. Maximum 5 persons accepted (Study on Monday through Friday).

3) Students who are inconsistent with No.1 and No.2 may be considered by the Curriculum Committee of Health Systems Management.
4) Students are required to write a concept paper about their interested research (no more than 5 pages of A4 paper).
5) Other qualifications as specified in the Naresuan University Regulations for Graduate 2011; Title 5 Students Requirement.

Tuition Fee
The price paid throughout the course is 600,000 Baht/Student (for Thai students) and 690,000 Baht/Student (for International students)

Payment by installments divided into 6 semesters in 3 years as below;

1) For Thai students

1st Year 1st Semester 100,000 Baht;
1st Year 2nd Semester 100,000 Baht;
2nd Year 1st Semester 100,000 Baht;
2nd Year 2nd Semester 100,000 Baht;
3th Year 1st Semester 100,000 Baht; and
3th Year 2nd Semester 100,000 Baht.

In case that the student is unable to complete the program within the period prescribed and need to re-enroll, the student has to pay 100,000 Baht per semester.

2) For International students

1st Year 1st Semester 115,000 Baht;
1st Year 2nd Semester 115,000 Baht;
2nd Year 1st Semester 115,000 Baht;
2nd Year 2nd Semester 115,000 Baht;
3th Year 1st Semester 115,000 Baht; and
3th Year 2nd Semester 115,000 Baht.

In case that the student is unable to complete the program within the period prescribed and need to re-enroll, the student has to pay 115,000 Baht per semester
