CHSM-NU master’s students present research proposal to Dr. David Briggs of UNE, Australia

Three new international students from the College of Health Systems Management of Naresuan University (CHSM-NU) Master of Science program presented their research proposals to Adjunct Prof. Dr. David Briggs via video teleconference on the 6th of September 2017 at the Faculty of Sciences mini conference room. These international students are from Malawi, Kenya, and Timor Leste.

Adjunct Prof. Dr. David Briggs is currently an Adjunct Professor at the School of Rural Medicine, Universtiy of New England Australia and at the College of Health Systems Management, Naresuan University and Editor of the Asia Pacific Journal of Health Management.

Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, Director of the CHSM-NU, opened the teleconference by giving the objectives of the event and introduced Dr. David Briggs. Dr. David Briggs, then, gave a short lecture on health services and systems management in Australia and Asia Pacific

Dr. David gave the much-needed comments and suggestions to the three students to guide them to choose the right direction to take in their studies. He emphasized on doing a thorough literature review on the topics they have proposed before deciding what would be the appropriate paradigm to use.

The new students were delighted upon hearing from Dr. David that they have presented interesting topics, with the guidance of course of the CHSM Director Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana.

Also present during the teleconference were the four first batch, international students from Bhutan and Bangladesh.

This teleconference with Dr. David is only the start of more teleconferences with him this term.
