Monday, 27 August 2018, the College of Health Systems Management (CHSM), Naresuan University (NU) organized a knowledge exchange forum to monitor and evaluate the achievements of the DHS StarUp projects using the 5th SDGs evaluation concept.
The SDGs evaluation concepts were jointly developed by the Academic Advisors and the District Health System (DHS) management teams of the DHS StartUp project headed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phudit Tejativaddhana, Acting Director of CHSM and supported by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth)
The Academic advisors and DHA management teams have developed the concepts to create a joint operational system to monitor and evaluate the progress of the different management teams.
All the parties involved in the DHS StartUp project are committed to promoting a sustainable, effective, and efficient district health system management for the achievement of the SDGs particularly the SDG 3 – Good health and Well-Being.
The Organizer invited Dr. Satit Viddayakorn, CEO of Principal Capital Public Co., Ltd. to discuss the significance of information technology in managing health systems. Dr. Viddayakorn talked about “Information for Innovation in Healthcare Management”. After his lecture, the participants were divided into small groups to discuss “Information Management for Innovative Health System Management in their district “.
Also present during the forum assisting Dr. Viddayakorn was the IT Director of Phitsanuvej Hospital, Mr. Sathit Nimpitakpong who has an expertise in healthcare information technology.
A total of 30 participants have participated in the knowledge exchange forum held in Conference room 208, Ekathosarot Bldg., Naresuan University. Participants include health academics and experts inside and outside of the University, academic advisors of the DHS management teams, and members of the 5 DHS StartUp teams. The 5 DHS StartUp teams are from; Kosamphi District, Kamphaeng Phet; Khlong Khlung District, Kamphaeng Phet; Sai Thong Wattana, Kamphaeng Phet; Pang Sila Thong, Kamphaeng Phet; and Ban Tak District, Tak Province.
The SDGs evaluation concepts development is a DHS StartUp sub-project headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Patcharin Sirasoonthorn aimed at assessing the achievements of the DHS StartUp project in attaining Goal 3 of the Sustainable Development Goals.
